We all adore the latest Android versions, but for different reasons ranging from stability difficulties to performance dips, many of us prefer to stick with older versions. And it’s for this reason that we’ve decided to provide LTS support!
LTS stands for Long Term Support, and it is used by various operating systems such as Windows, Ubuntu, and others to provide upgrades to users who are stuck on previous software versions. We have implemented the same technique for users who are stuck on older Android versions.
By this, we imply that we will continue to support earlier Android-based Cygnus OS versions for a long time. For example, if you decide that Android 11 is your favorite, you can remain using it until Android 13 is out! You’ll get monthly updates with the most recent CAF tags and security patches. Thanks to our sponsors, Datapacket, we were able to do all of this owing to our upgraded infrastructure.
This will provide maintainers more time to update their devices to the most recent Android versions while also guaranteeing that all users have a reliable, bug-free experience.
What do you think about this decision? Is it welcomed by you all? Let us know in the comments below!
